This seminar is basically an excuse to do two things that I love: read books and watch movies! Their connections to science fiction and fantasy is an extra perk.

The seminar will focus on a few select “themes”: time travel, first contact, climate change. Each theme will have an associated book and movie, as well as an occasional essays and/or short stories that will help facilitate discussion.
