This course provides an in-depth technical and policy analysis of various options for the nuclear fuel performance and nuclear energy technology. Topics include fuel fabrication, in-core physics and fuel management of uranium, thorium and other fuel types. Also covered in detail are the principles of nuclear energy economics for existing and advanced reactors and current global policy trends for fission energy. This will be a project based class.
