24.215 Topics in Philosphy of Science
We'll tackle philosophical questions about basic concepts of science. Are our best scientific theories really true? Do we have good reason to think they are? What are laws of nature? What is causation? Is all causation fundamentally physical, or is there such a thing as 'higher-level' (e.g. psychological, social, etc.) causation?

22.022/22.51 Quantum Technology and Devices
Quantum engineering exploits the unique features of quantum theory to generate technologies with capabilities beyond any classical device. The course will introduce fundamental concepts in applied quantum mechanics, tools, and applications of quantum technology, with a focus on quantum information processing beyond quantum computation. Practical examples of quantum devices and experimental platforms will be drawn from active research in academia and industry. Students taking graduate version complete additional assignments.
