Write around 1000 words (or more) on a relevant subject of your choice. It could be on one of the direct topics covered, something that we haven't gotten to yet but you're passionate about, or something you'd like to learn more of.
This could be an op-ed attempting to persuade the reader, an analysis that seeks to clarify the issue, or an explainer that lays out key considerations and the overarching importance for those interested.
We strongly recommend making these public eventually, because if you've already written it, then why not? But there's no requirement.
For those not taking the class for credit, this is obviously optional, but it's highly encouraged given the importance of communication and storytelling in mobilizing coalitions and building support.
